Video Editing Reflection

 The learning Process(Premiere Pro):

 The videos that went with the assignment explained the basics and for this assignment that was all I needed. The videos thought the very basics like making new projects to adjusting the audio and exporting the video, because of this it made the learning process much easier than if I would have jumped in with no help at all. There was still some things I had to find on my own like how to make the changes in clips more smoother without using b-roll.

Creating the clip:

Creating the clip was a fun experience as I did not have to follow a video step by step and everyone having the same clip. Instead I was able to make the clip completely my own while using the things I learned from the videos. Making the clip my own was fun because I got to make it how I liked it I just needed to make sure that I follow the few instructions from the assignment but overall the process of creating the clip was not that hard compared to what i thought it would be.

Challenges and successes I've had:

I had a hard time at the beginning because I don't have a lot of experience in editing but by following the videos and just experimenting on my own I ended up getting the hang of it. I had a very hard time getting the videos in the right spot also I had to make sure the sound on some of the clips were muted so that it didn't ruin everything else

Important take aways:

I was able to learn how to edit a video while completing the clip this includes using b-roll and lower thirds. This will help my portfolio project as I intend to do the video so now when I get to editing the movie opening it will be much easier than if I had to edit without learning how to first.over all the assignments will help me with any type of editing I will have to do in this class
